COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) – Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Benson Chapel United Methodist Church for Effray Harden, 56, of 722 Jefferson, Covington, who died Friday at Lake View Memorial Hospital in Danville. The Rev. Edgar F. Allen will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Robert H. Miller and the Rev. Jerry Kissinger. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends will be received at the DeVerter Funeral Home until 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The body will be taken to the church at 2 p.m. He was the son of Ralph Wayne and Olive B. Fritch Harden. Among the survivors are a son, Alan W. of Denver, Colo., and a grandson, Rodney Harden. – jlr

COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) - Effrey F. Harden, 56, of 722 Jefferson, Covington, died at 8:56 a.m. Friday (April 25, 1975) in Lake View Memorial Hospital. He had been a patient nine days Born Aug 5, 1918, in Covington, he was the son of Ralph Wayne and Olive B. Fitch Harden. On April 28, 1940, he married Thelma M. Dixon, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Allen W. of Denver, Colo.; his mother, and three grandsons. Robert Harden, Roger Harden and Rodney Harden. He was a member and trustee of Benson Chapel United Methodist Church. He had been a barber for 37 years and self employed at 415 Eighth for the past 18 years. He was the Troy Township Trustee for eight years and had just been elected to start serving a third term. In 1952, he organized the Covington Little League. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Benson Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Edgar F. Allen officiating, assisted by the Rev. Robert H. Miller and the Rev. Jerry Kissinger. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends will be received at the DeVerter Funeral Home after 3:30 p.m. today. The body will be taken to the church at 2 p.m. Sunday. The family has requested any memorials be in the form of contributions to the Emma Dixon Memorial Fund at the Benson Chapel United Methodist Church. - jlr
